Summoned Beast:
Frahkis

Lore:
Found in the Cave Spires region is a creature that spends most of its time in the dark. The Frahkis is a small quadruped that is very efficient at climbing the walls and fixtures inside the deep caverns of the area. A wealth of insects are found there, providing the main sustenance for this quirky creature. His ability to catch food is one of the defining characteristics of the Frahkis. His excellent night vision is aided by protruding hammerhead-like eye sockets which receive signals and tell him where his favorite prey is, as well as a pair of fins that sit side by side on the top of his head. Once he has the location of a target, usually a flying insect like the Hook Bug, the Frahkis snaps his disproportionately long arms out and snatches them up. Its needle teeth make quick work of the insect’s hard shell and its slim tail help keep it balanced on the cavern’s many ledges.

Summoned Beast:
Steam Pits Alpha Predator: Nuh Tkeupar

Lore:
The dominant predator of the Western Steam Pits, the Nuh Tkeupar is feared by all other creatures in the region. This devastating colossus is a flying death machine to all those that stand in its way. Its large razor sharp beak rends flesh with chaotic efficiency. Larger prey is taken down with its one-of-a-kind energy bolts that blast through a ruby red crystal horn that grows in a duct on its forehead. An energy sack sits behind the crystal under the skin, which directs light into compressed bolts. The sack is covered with thick electrical neurons that connect to it's highly charged brain. It's 10 meter wing span is second to none and keeps this hunter on top of its prey at all times. The bat like wings are covered with sharp spikes and bristling muscle. Its stout body and multiple tails allow for ultimate balance and maneuverability while in the air over the pits. These asexual creatures are extremely rare because of the hunting ground they cover and are born only once every millennium.

Beast Battle 11

Summoner Red won this week!

Summoned Beast:
Atankerei

Lore:
A native of the Frost Reaches, a vast glacial island off the western coast of Corpus Callosum, the Atankerei, is a flightless bird that has vestigial nubs on it's upper body. These small wing remnants are an evolutionary holdover from it's flying ancestors. Its extremely thick coat of feathers is ornate, especially around the shoulders where they cover exposed bone plating. The pale blue monochromatic coloration is a perfect camouflage in the barren wastes of the frostbitten glacier. This highly evolved bird has an upright skeletal structure that is dense and built for durability unlike it's hollow boned family members eons ago. One of the unique abilities the Atankerei utilizes while hunting is a precisely delivered spray of highly corrosive and very deadly stomach acid. Organic material is no match for this fast acting acid which stops its prey in their tracks. Many Summoners coat their armor with a processed version of the Atankerei's mysterious mucosal stomach lining for extra protection during duels with this beautifully vile creature.

Beast Battle 10

Summoner Red defeated Summoner Blue this week but in the end Ytl'paups was the ultimate loser.

Summoned Beast:
Eh

Lore:
A dull creature living under the rocks and bushes in the outback region of the Corpus Calloseum, it has no true shape of it's own, for it is merely a small gray blob. The looks of this creature can be deceiving however, as it is a cunning hunter and fierce predator. Able to stretch, bend, and twist it's body into any shape imaginable, once the Eh has targeted it's prey, there is no escape. Luckily for the other inhabitants of the realm, the Eh only feeds once a year. Unfortunately though, it goes on a 24 hour feeding frenzy that usually wipes out any living thing within a mile of the Eh's resting place.

Beast Battle 9

Summoner Red won this week by a thread! (or a zip line)

Summoned Beast:
Gnaa'aaaaaa'ar

Lore:
A strange beast, the Gnaa'aaaaaa'ar spends most of its time in the upper canopy of the dense jungle in southern Corpus Callosum. It has developed a strange mode of travel where it hangs from a fibrous line it creates and attaches between trees. Unlike a spider's web however, it does not use this line for getting food in the classical sense, only for transportation. The Gnaa'aaaaaa'ar has a prehensile tail that it uses to feed itself with since all of its hands and feet are busy holding onto the line. Mostly it forages for food since its singular, large eye at its front means a lack of the depth perception needed for hunting. Its name comes from the sound it makes when trying to attract a mate.

Beast Battle 8

Summoner Blue Defeated his rival in this clash of titans

Summoned Beast:
Ulmridaer

Lore:
Emerging from the depths of the ocean every equinox to feed, the great Ulmridaer is the thing of legends. Its massive body has been mistaken for an island from afar by those unfortunate to come across it, for it is the last sight they will see on the treacherous waters. The reach of the Ulmridaer's twelve razor lined tentacles is so great that few have ever gotten close enough to view the body, which is home to various plant life and vegetation. Once grasped by these tentacles, the prey has the life squeezed out of it as the razor lining cuts them to shreds in a matter of seconds. This effectively chums the waters and both allows the Ulmridaer to feed via it's baleen lined mouth, and attracts more predators, which then become the prey of this mighty beast.

Beast Battle 7

Summoner Red Tarred & feathered the competition with a well deserved victory!

Summoned Beast:
Mayh Faulk

Lore:
Emerging every night in the Hathnor Swamps of Corpus Callosum is one of the more putrid creatures in the region. The Mayh Faulk, a blind nocturnal trapper, lies in wait near its custom made pit. It uses the tar that it excretes from its back to form a death bed in the mud. Once prey is caught it uses its pincers to extract struggling critters and immediately devours them with its tough beak. This unsightly beast is lined with boils, pustules, and warts. Its grub like body splits open in the back to reveal dozens of poison needles that when threatened shoot out like missiles. Its tiny regenerating legs, which can be as many as 50 at adulthood, only allow for a very slow pace but what this beast lacks in speed it makes up for in its vile long range defenses.

Beast Battle 6

Summoner Red Chomps the competition this week!

Summoned Beast:
Kari'bes

Lore:
Arguably the "cutest" of the creatures from Corpus Callosum, the Kari'bes are also one of the smallest, measuring in at a mere 2 inches long, which includes their inch long tails. Kari'bes have a dense layer of bristly hair which covers most of their body, and is so durable it can withstand both extreme heat and extreme cold. For this reason, the Kari'bes can be found in almost any region of the Corpus Callosum Realm. These tiny creatures are not to be taken for granted though, as their colony tends to swarm any attackers by the thousands and can easily take out animals like the Ytl'paups with shear numbers. Their large mouths, which are lined with tiny razor sharp teeth get the job done with piranha like efficiency. These attacks are rarely seen coming as the Kari'bes are able to run at amazing speeds and climb most any surface with their six legs and unique cross toed feet.

Beast Battle 5

Summor Blue Electrocuted his opponet this week with a solid win.

Summoned Beast:
Rahg Rawhk

Lore:
Primarily a Grazer, the Rahg Rawhk is a mammoth creature standing 3 meters tall. This giant beast has a large shell, which resembles the isopods of the earth realm. The protective armor covers most of its body and has prongs on the sides of each segment. The Rahg Rawhk's wall of binocular eyes provide excellent awareness of its surroundings.Don't let this graceful herbivore fool you. The best grazing sites don't come for free. Rahg Rawhks must take over and defend the land through brutal territorial combat. It's main tool for offense lay in the knobby horns that protrude out of its insulated cheeks. They provide a fatal shock to any animal subjected to its violent electrocution. When fighting against another Rahg Rawhk the beast must gain speed with its strong segmented legs and ram the opposition's shell. After flipping its armored opponent, its defenseless underbelly becomes exposed and blown apart in an explosion of sparks.

Beast Battle 4

Summoner Blue won this week proving that it's not just a platypus.

Summoned Beast:
Ytl'paups

Lore:
Despite it's mammalian appearance, the Ytl'paups is actually a small form of water dragon. They use their shovel shaped noses to root through the mud of the various rivers they call home, where they eat mostly small invertebrates. The Ytl'paups can travel at alarming speeds against the currents thanks to their webbed feet and large paddle like tails. If provoked, they can defend themselves with their two large, venom laced spines.

Beast Battle 3

Summoner Blue prevailed this week with a slim victory.

Summoned Beast:
Arri

Lore:
Found deep in the southern jungles of Corpus Callosum, this sleek striped beast is an expert predator. It's large body resembles that of a tiger found on Earth, but it's physical resemblance ends there. Its elongated head can plunge into narrow Kupercee burrows, one of its main prey. The most interesting feature by far is muscular tentacles that are rooted in their face. These powerful tentacles rip its prey from the normally safe tunnel with ease. The Arri is also capable of great speed and precision while traveling through the dense jungle, partly due to it's long tail which allows it to virtually change direction in mid air.

Beast Battle 2

Summoner Red was the victor with his awesome gremlin concept!

Summoned Beast:
Skrifchule (Chaos Gremlin)

Lore:
Small humanoid creatures, chaos gremlins thrive on disorder. Because of their natural curiosity and pursuit of hi-jinx, a tribe of Chaos Gremlins found a way through the portal and started secret colonies on earth. They are commonly found lurking in the shadows or in the filth of larger beings, especially in places crowded with objects. Typical characteristics include large, pointed ears that stick above their heads, wide, oval eyes, and a sparse layer of fur. What perhaps is their most prominent feature however, is their oversized feet. Any scraps left behind from slobs or children will only attract them, it is a large part of their diet. Their favorite pastime is to steal people's left shoes, for they rather enjoy causing chaos and disarray.

Beast Battle 1

The results are in and it looks like the first BEAST BATTLE was a TIE! Hopefully we will see a solid winner in the next match up.

Summon:
Turar'zul

Lore:
This fork-jawed "demon" levitates over the steam pits of western Corpus Callosum. Most of its intelligence is used for sustenance. Its specialized forked jaw can quickly scoop up giant beetles that tunnel in the dense clay. Although two of its quad eyes are quite large compared to its bulky limbless body, they are merely capable of simple motion detection. The large eyes are nestled behind two large horns which protrude downward to defend against it's struggling prey. It's smaller eyes rest above it's characteristic hog nose. A knobby top horn crowns this "demon's" head. In battle he is a fearless hunk of teeth capable of great speed with its levitation ability.
