Jo'Reler - Threshur Queen

As mysterious and deadly as her colorful forest kingdom in the Southern Jungles, Jo'Reler is the queen high ruler of the sentient plant race of pygmies known as the Threshurs. Long ago during the Three Tribes War, Jo'Reler used her control of all things plant matter to create a nearly impenetrable barrier around the borders of her kingdom to protect her tribe from the advancing hordes of both the Vekkinsear and the Grah'Thor tribes. Able to sprout thorns, vines, and various other plant matter from her body at will, she is a fierce combatant. Her many long vine like appendages make getting close to her vulnerable core almost impossible. When her fighting skills fail her, Jo'Reler is able to breathe flammable spores which ignite upon contacting the air, creating a deadly fire burst. During this distraction, the queen will quickly retreat underground to fight another day.

Steam Pits Alpha Guardian: Overlord Vraxxonius Steam-Sayer

During the dark dawn countless millennia ago before many of the creatures inhabiting Zool had even begun to stir, Overlord Vraxxonius Steam-Sayer was nestled deep within the magma drenched caverns of the Steam Pits. An ancient hulk; some whisper it was born of pure heat from the planet’s core. Its old molten calls drew proto-beasts to his domain and over time they evolved into its vast army of sentinels known as the Vekkinsear Guardians.

Once a millennium Vraxxonius rebirths his consciousness into a new progeny. For up to a hundred years this new offspring is most vunerable but armed with the ancient knowledge of its past incarnations. During this time Vraxxonius’ territorial rival, Nuh Tkeupar, fresh from birthing its own synchronized offspring, roams the Steam Pits looking to secure its newborn’s future. A millennial ritual death battle occurs between the two and though the victor will inevitably die soon after from it’s final act of birthing, it secures the balance of power in the region.

Overlord Vraxxonious is largely immobile do to its titanic size and biology. It draws the power of the magma through its under belly gills for sustenance which also keeps the outlets of volcanic activity from overburdening the region and destroying it. The Overlord’s giant torso-maw, which are lined with razor obsidian stalagmites and stalactites, shakes the core of the Steam Pits with its deafening territorial calls. It’s open mouth has been mistaken for a cavern by many unfortunate Turar'zul that are trained and live along side the Overlord and his guardians. Twenty piercing eyes see beyond normal sight and some believe that it controls the will of its Vekkinsear Guardians and turns other creatures running in hysteria from the outskirts of it’s lair.

The fate of Zool itself weighs heavily upon the existence of Overlord Vraxxonius Steam-Sayer and is believed it’s as much a part of the planet as the land, sea and air.

Vekkinsear Throne Guardian

These Demonic bipedal Brutes patrol the inner sanctum of their Overlord, Vraxxonius Steam-Sayer. They Slosh through the thick magma moats that cut around the Overlord’s cavernous throne room, searching for infiltrators using their bright glowing amber eyes.

Shielded by their thick oily carmine-colored skin, these Vekkinsear elite guards are energized by the scorching flow of the Steam Pits. Using chained-leashed Turar’zul as scouts, the Vekkinsear are able to use them to sniff out prey much like hellhounds and are a formidable fiend to contend with.

The Guardians themselves are shielded with lava forged plate and carry long piercing stalactite spears in defense of their master against the colossal flying Apex Predator; Nuh Tkeupar. Once a millennium Vraxxonius and Nuh Tkeupar have a territorial battle to the death but only after they have both created progeny. It is the duty of the Vekkinsear Guardians to hold the roaming Nuh Tkeupar back from entering the caverns until a master successor is birthed.

Mem'Ech Schvult

Commonly found in the fearsome currents of the Filluimian Sea between the Frost Reaches and the Cave Spires, the Mem'Ech Schvult swarm in tightly grouped mega schools. By themselves they are very tiny and unassuming creatures with slender bodies, large pectoral fins, and small mouths containing a comb of filters. Their large cranial region is home to oversized eyes and an array of small light sensors on their foreheads, which helps them identify each other.

Alone they often feed off the great Ulmridaer's waste and generally scavenge the chummy remains, being too tiny to draw the attention of the mighty leviathan. Once a mega school has formed though, a unique telepathic bond with each Mem'Ech Schvult is created, allowing the small creatures to act as one giant beast by mimicking the silhouette and motions of other nearby life forms. This trick helps them to stay out of the bellies of many, but not all of Zool's fierce aquatic predators.

Mollari

The Mollari is a sharp shooter in a world dominated by creatures of brute strength. It’s versatility on land and water gives it an edge against its natural predators. Because of this the Mollari has expanded it’s reach from the Southern Jungles all the way up North East to the Hathnor Swamps. Its six muscular legs and clawed web feet provide speed and stability whether it finding a tree perch or making a fast get away in the muddy swamps. A plasma gland runs from the tip of its tail to the top of its armored head. It has the ability to store and fire highly accurate plasma bursts that incapacitate its prey, like the speedy canopy dwelling Gnaa‘aaaaaa‘ar.

Aquilix

Summoned Beast:
Aquilix

Lore:
Found in the bogs of Hathor this tiny creature is an air breather that survives in an underwater world. The Aquilix has specialized valves and chambers that help control its buoyancy and forward movement. One of its most unique characteristics is the specialized bubble dome it creates around its exposed head. By rising to the surface the Aquilix has access to fresh air which is captured by sucking in through a rear chamber that contains mucus and forms the dome. It is able to feed through the bubble without breaking it. The Aquilix commonly feeds on small crustaceans by incapacitating them with its venom dart but is ineffective against the larger animals of Hathnor.

Summoned Beast:
Kertrypt

Lore:
Don't touch it.

Beast Battle 24

Summoned Beast:
Sqee'zum

Lore:
This odd beast can be summed up very easily. Stupid as a rock, but just as tough in the same respect. The Sqee'zum doesn't flee from predators, in fact it does nothing but wait out the attack with blank unphased eyes. Although plump, fluffy and vunerale in apperence the Sqee'zum's thick hide is impenetrable. Most seasoned predators leave this fuzzy tank alone, but the few that try to claim a seamingly easy meal are only left tired and frustated.

A voracious hunter the Vorkel stops at nothing in order to claim its next meal. It pounces on prey from long distances with its large muscular legs. The Vorkel is all mouth and clamps down on its victims with large saber teeth while its exposed first stomach rips flesh with razor shredders. The Vorkel’s large specialized eyes are able to hone in on fast moving targets and are protected by large muscle flaps when in close contact.

Beast Battle 22

Summond Beast:
Burg'Trop

Lore:
The Burg’Trop is a lethargic blobby creature. It sits in cavern floors waiting for the dung of other animals to fall into its gaping lower jaw. Its teeth move independently of each other to push material back into its throat. Once the dung is processed and ready to be passed the Burg’Trop unrolls its tail and pushes out long coated crystallized slivers that harden after a few hours. These slivers are harvested and used as arrowheads and decorations such as earrings by some of the sentient beings of the region.

Summoned Beast:
Truslan

Lore:
A scavenger of dark ocean depths, the Truslan is an opportunist. While gliding around leagues below the ocean surface via propelling tentacles, it picks edible material out of the water. If it is lucky, the Truslan will come across a carcass that it can rip into with its muscular claw. Its unique elongated fingers can scrape meat from hard to reach areas where other scavengers often ignore. It has large bulb eyes that are always on the look out for larger predators, and at the first sign of trouble it can bolt using its side flaps.

Beast Battle 20

Summoned Beast:
Kilfaze

Lore:
The Kilfaze is a master fisher that lurks in the river beds of the southeast regions of the realm. Its specialized head stays submerged under the fresh water with its tri-jaw open and ready to snap shut. Small sensors on its upper lip detect the tiniest of vibrations. Unsuspecting fish are suddenly thrashed into darkness as the Kilfaze’s needle gullet shreds them into oblivion. The creature's hind poison tendrils can unfurl into multiple supports when enduring any lengthy travel but when hunting along the river bed it prefers a tri-pedal positioning. This allows the Kilfaze to guard his back with poison tips up while its head is submerged.
